Empowering young People (EYP)
The purpose of this program is to prepare our youth for adulthood by grooming them for success. Participants learn strategies for becoming gainfully employed through our panel discussions and workshops. They also acquire skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.
After the workshops, participants have the opportunity to network and meet new people, securing new opportunities. They are also provided with further enhancement materials to take home.
EdeYouth (EY) connects our youth with licensed professionals. This initiative offers participants foresight and opportunities to make better choices, despite difficult circumstances.
Workshops/Trainings:
You're Not Alone (YANA) is a series of outreach programs designed to promote mental health awareness. Unfortunately, the rate of suicide is increasing among our youth due to a lack of support and awareness of the symptoms and challenges associated with mental and psychological illnesses.
EdeYouth (EY) connects young people with Certified Mental Health Professionals and Counselors who help them identify their personal needs. EY also offers various workshops that address topics such as depression, trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and suicide. The goal is to reduce the incidence of self-harm and suicide among the youth population.
Counseling
Our program enables counselors and therapists to interact with participants in both private and group settings, either in person or through multimedia tools. Utilizing technology allows us to offer a broader range of resources to those who need it most.
YANA is not just a program; it is a model for community rehabilitation.
Principles of YANA:
Sewing, Culinary Arts, Social, Dining Etiquette, and Art Decoration
Education, EdeYouth is committed to improving literacy while providing a foundational education that empowers youth to pursue their future goals. Our aim is to help them become independent thinkers and valuable assets to their communities.
Vocational Training
Self-care is all about taking the time to focus on your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It's essential to recognize that prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish—it's necessary! By practicing self-care, you can recharge, reduce stress, and improve your overall happiness.
Taking "me time" allows you to reflect, relax, and engage in activities that bring you joy, whether that’s reading, spending time with friends, exercising, or simply enjoying a quiet moment. It’s important to carve out time in your busy schedule to check in with yourself and nurture your needs.
Remember, we are here for you. If you ever feel overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your mental health is a priority, and we want to support you every step of the way. You're not alone on this journey! 💖
