Founder/ Executive Director
Betty Aristide-Augustin is a child of God, a beloved daughter of the King, and a Kingdom ambassador. Born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she has earned a Master’s in Urban Affairs from Queens College, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Mortgages from York College, and an Associate degree in Business Management from BMCC.
Throughout her academic journey, she was recognized for her achievements, including leading the Haitian Club at BMCC. Betty has been featured on News Channel 11, Medium, CanvasRebel Magazines, and Spectrum News NY1 for her impactful work in youth empowerment and community development.
Betty's life took a transformative turn after experiencing foster care and homelessness as a teenager. Through mentorship, therapy, and spiritual counseling, she overcame these challenges and dedicated her life to helping others do the same.
She has earned mental health certifications from NAMI and Youth Mental Health First Aid and is a certified, licensed NAMI facilitator of Sharing Hope, a conversation series focused on mental health wellness and healing for Black/African American families.
Inspired by a mission trip to Haiti, Betty founded EdeYouth Inc. in 2010, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing a new generation through mentorship, counseling, financial literacy, and life-skills training. Under her leadership, EdeYouth has played a key role in initiatives like Building Pathways for Success, sewing and etiquette programs, and youth mental health support, positively impacting countless young lives. Through her financial literacy efforts, EdeYouth has also helped youth become registered entrepreneurs, equipping them with the skills and confidence to build their own businesses.
She is actively involved in ministries and youth organizations and has partnered with institutions like Fordham University, NAMI, ARA, Hope Mental Health Facility, USA Youth Mental Health First Aid, The Alexander Youth Etiquette for Success (A.Y.E.S.) and Beraca Baptist Church. Beyond her nonprofit work, she is also the founder of Ebi Accents, a business that fosters deeper connections among families and communities through personalized experiences and products.
Betty is a dedicated wife and a loving mother to an amazing son and thanks God for the gift of motherhood.
In her personal time, she enjoys family time, sewing, cooking, traveling, music, art, dancing, nature walks, and raising tomorrow's leaders today. She lives by her powerful mantra: "If I can reach one child, it is better than none."
